Acacia melanoxylon

Common Name: Blackwood Wattle
This is a very hardy evergreen native tree with dark green leaves, the Blackwood is ideal for parklands, street trees, and large screenings and is good for erosion control. It flowers with little creamy-yellow flowers on mass in winter and spring.
It grows well in full sun and part shade. It will take most soil types.
