Common Name: Japanese Maple
The Japanese Maple is a lovely, small deciduous tree grown for its beautiful foliage. In spring the foliage is green then produces stunning colours such as red, orange and yellow in autumn.
Grows best in a sheltered site with morning sun and afternoon shade in moist cool, well mulch soil is best. You can grow Japanese Maples in full sun but make sure they are protected from hot northerly winds.
