Common Name: Silver Birch
Silver Birch is a very popular, hardy medium sized deciduous tree . It has a beautiful white trunk which contrasts with the bright green foliage on pendulous branching.
Birch is often used as fence line screens, along driveways, in group plantings or as specimens to highlight entrances etc.
They like full sun or part shade and well drained, fertile, moist soil.
Fertilise at the start of spring once the first of the foliage appears.
