Common Name: Maidenhair Tree
An interesting and stunning tree dating back to ancient times over 200 million ago native to China. Not only is it a living fossil it has striking light green 2-lobed fan shaped foliage which turns a bright yellow in the autumn months.
This is large long-lived self forming tree but has quite a slow growth rate, so water and fertilise well in the summer months to accelerate.
Prefers full-sun and protection from wind if possible, very hardy and is a well rounded feature or street tree.
