Common Name: 'Honey Locust'
This is a beautiful, deciduous, medium sized tree that is suitable for avenues, shading or as a feature tree to add a pop of colour into any medium to large Landscape.
'Sunburst' begins at the start of spring with vibrant yellow, fern like foliage appearing on slightly weeping branches which soften in the summer to lime green with only the newest growth still appearing a brilliant yellow. In autumn the foliage returns to gold before dropping and revealing a beautiful framed tree for winter; allowing in the winter sun.
It prefers full sun to maximise the foliage colour but will grow in part shade. It will grow in most soil types but prefers fertile, well-drained soil.
'Sunburst' is frost hardy and drought tolerant once established.
