Pieris japonica 'Temple Bells'

'Temple Bells' is an attractive medium evergreen shrub grown for its beautiful flowers and fantastic vibrant new growth. Sprays of little bell shaped white flowers appear in spring followed by a flush of new growth that is mostly red with splashes of orange. This new growth hardens off to become a rich green.
They make great informal hedges of approx 1mt or as a specimen shrub in any garden. They also do well in containers.
They prefer sheltered full sun or part shade. Protect from hot North winds in summer if in full sun. Well drained, slightly acid soil that is well mulched helps to keep the roots cool and retain moisture for the warmer months.
