Westringia fruticosa

Common Name: Coastal Rosemary
This hardy, compact native shrub has narrow, rosemary-like, grey green leaves.The leaf has a white underside so the shrub can have a silvery appearance. Beautiful small white flowers appear on mass mostly late winter and early spring. It will flower spasmodically through out the rest of the year when conditions are right.
Westringia is ideal for native gardens, general gardens and can even be used in formal gardens as it responds well to pruning.
It tolerates a wide range of soils and conditions including exposed coastal areas.
Westringia grows best in an open sunny spot in well drained soil and will cope with dry periods and frost tolerant.
