Wisteria sinensis 'Alba'

Common Name: White Chinese Wisteria
Wisteria is a hardy, vigorous, deciduous climber with finely divided, light green leaves. In spring, it produces large spectacular sprays of fragrant, white flowers up to 45cm long just prior to the foliage appearing. These flowers are the main reason for using wisteria in any garden as they are truly beautiful.
It can be used for covering and beautifying garages, pergolas, arches, and fences.
Wisteria will tolerate frost and most soil types. It thrives in full sun and is best in well drained, moist fertile soil.
It responds well to pruning after flowering and to summer pruning of the long shoots that 'bolt'.
